Overview

The Marketing Analyst works as a key member of the Marketing team to support the department and the organization's overall goals and strategic plans by conducting research and analysis. This role will produce the analytical work used to determine: targeting, segmentation, campaign goals, marketing performance, incremental business impact as a result of marketing, member insights, assist with qualitative and quantitative research, web analytics and more. The analyst will be required to work closely with all areas of Marketing, our 3rd party agencies and various business lines to make informed, data-driven decisions related to marketing efforts for credit union products, services, and brand awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and conduct data measurement and analysis to inform comprehensive, multichannel marketing campaigns and promotions by defining key metrics and key performing identifiers that drive ROI.
  • Identify and recommend target audience segments, gather analytics, and prepare scenarios to inform or improve the success of growth and acquisition marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute to the success of marketing efforts by analyzing campaign performance based on data to determine efficacy and provide recommendations.
  • Report on ROI, KPIs and help determine goals for projects. Research and gather data to support the development of marketing personas.
  • Develop models to predict ROI of each product campaign based on seasonality and the current rate environment.
  • Report and present detailed tactic and campaign metrics to senior leaders in the credit union.
  • Design and compile research on new geographic areas to assess opportunities
  • Design and compile analysis on the current membership to assist in better targeting and messaging
  • Analyze competition and trends, identify the organization's strengths and weaknesses, and determine potential opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
  • Read all internal publications, including HUB and Possibilities. 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Marketing or related field is required

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years Marketing is required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of marketing principles, theory, and application to marketing projects and assignments.
  • Knowledge of Google Tag Manager and how to utilize the data in PowerBI and GA4
  • Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information, and handle problem resolution.
  • Must be data-driven and understand sales funnels, be able to measure the performance of marketing campaigns across different channels and have the skills to report on KPIs and ROI.
  • Understand consumer behavior, tracking, and forecasting consumer trends.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must know common marketing platforms including, but not limited to Google Analytics, marketing automation and segmentation tools, PowerBI, and other analytic tools.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, at different levels across the organization.
  • Skilled in collaboration and fostering relationships.
  • Knowledge of task management software; Asana is a major plus.
  • Experience with pivot tables, charting and SQL databases.
  • Critical thinking and analysis.
  • Able to think strategically and creatively.
  • Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Able to exercise judgement, initiative and tact in dealing with membership, department supervisors and staff.
  • Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Ability to be trained in all areas of credit union operations, policies and procedures.
  • Able to effectively use office machinery including a PC, telephone, calculator, and multifunction copier.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required..
